The CEO of Merlin Properties, Ismael Clemente, participates in a session in English with students of the subject Project Management. The event is at the invitation of School of Economics and association of Friends of the University of Navarra.

During the session, Clemente stressed the importance of ethics in business and work as a team. The president of the real estate company assures that the core topic of the success of his business lies in the people who accompany him.

Regarding his business strategy, the CEO of Merlin Properties explains that online commerce and the upturn in industrial activity in Spain has generated a new trend to invest in assets related to the world of logistics. A segment that, in his opinion, is more profitable and less expensive skill.

The chairman of Merlin Properties has managed to convince international funds to bet on the recovery in Spain and, in turn, has carried out a series of acquisitions that have given him entrance to Santander and BBVA as the main shareholders of his real estate company.

Ismael Clemente has been named the best executive of the year 2017 for managing, in just three years, to turn Merlin Properties into one of the large real estate groups listed on the IBEX-35.

Clemente, born in Badajoz in 1970, is graduate in Law and Business Studies. After leaving Deutsche Bank in 2014, he founded Merlin Properties, a real estate company focused on the tertiary sector (shopping centers, business and logistics).

Married and the father of six children, Clemente believes his life can be described as organized chaos, but says he is able to juggle family life with his business.
