As a novelty, this year the students participated in the construction of a model of the Nakagin tower designed by the Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa and located in Tokyo. The participants in the Technical Drawing Olympiad had to build the models of the housing capsules and then place them in the structure of the tower. In this way, they were able to test the direct application of geometric form to architecture and were introduced to the construction of architectural models.

The goal of this competition is mainly to motivate the students of high school program to value technical drawing as a universal language and to reward talented students in this discipline.
