The University of Navarra's Olympic Centre programs of study launches the Specialist in Sports Law and Sport Management courses.

The programs of study Olympic Center of the University of Navarra has presented the courses of Specialist in Sports Law and Specialist in Sport Managementan initiative that covers a complete program in the different areas of sports law and sports management . The Law and Economics Schools of the academic center, ADESP, IUSPORT, LWF Academy, Senn Ferrero Asociados, Zertior and Club Atlético Osasuna collaborate in these new programs.
Since 2013 the Olympic programs of study Center has offered the Sports Law course, training more than 300 students since then. This new specialist training is a step further in the professionalization of the legal field. "It allows to understand the obligations and responsibilities of the different actors in the sports scenario, to know and interpret the different regulations and their impact on the business of sport and to master the mechanisms for conflict resolution," explains Professor Ángel Ruiz de Apodaca, director academic of the course.
The program establishes four thematic modules: the sports ecosystem and its actors, conflicts in sport, the business of sport and sport as a profession. It is aimed at students and university graduates in Law, Business Administration and Sports Science, sports professionals who work in the management and sports organization, former athletes who want to specialize in this field and lawyers who work or want to work in the area of legal aid.
It will consist of 40 teaching hours taught in 20 sessions, over two years. Classes will be face-to-face and will also be offered online for those who live outside Pamplona. The course will cost 750 euros, with discounts for students, alumni and those who register before June 30.
Sports, an economic sector core topic in modern economies
For its part, the online course of Sport Management has as goal know the most relevant principles in the different areas of sport management . "The aim is to understand the importance of sport as an economic sector core topic in modern economies, to acquire strategic and leadership tools in the field of sport, and to create a forum of ideas and discussion to help in the development of a professional degree program ", explains Javier Elizalde, director academic of the course. It will feature round tables with prestigious speakers in the field of sport and the management sports as well as a trip to La Nucia, city of sport.
The course is aimed at university students, university graduates, managers and directors of public and private sports entities, and athletes from high performing. It will run from October 2021 to March 2022. It will cost 950 euros, with discounts for students and alumni of the University.
