Two graduates from School of Medicine of the University of Navarra have obtained a place among the top 100 in the examination for Internal Medical Resident called by the Ministry of Health. Specifically, Javier Alfaro Abadía has achieved sixteenth place, while Helena Alarcos Blasco is in 89th position. For their part, two graduates from Navarra are among the 200 best marks: Marta Pastrana Calderón in 117th place and Sonia Antoñana Ugalde in 164th. Of the 189 graduates of the University who sat the exam, 98.9% (187) passed the exam.

A total of 16,176 students (10.7% more than in the last edition) applied to the test, held last January 25, aspiring to obtain one of the 7,512 places available (10.5% more than last year).

The main novelty this year has been the duration of the exam, which has been reduced both in the issue of questions and in the duration: the test has gone from 225 to 175 questions (keeping the ten from reservation), so the time to take the test has also been shortened from five hours to only four.
