"The selection processes (in the Investment Banking sector) are very competitive," said Jorge Hernandez, director of Morgan Stanley's Human Resources department in Spain, at the sixth session of the training plan: "Investment Banking & Strategy Consulting. Start Now" organized by the School of Economics of the University of Navarra at partnership with Career Services.

Despite the difficulties presented by the selection processes in Investment Banking, Hernandez wanted to encourage students to build a degree program within the sector since, in his opinion, it is a work that allows to know many more sectors and have a direct impact on the Economics.

Regarding the selection process, Hernández assured the students that "the most important thing is to have confidence in yourself and prepare very well for the interviews. Before you are called for an interview, review the position for which you have applied".

According to the organizers, these sessions are aimed at goal to offer students the opportunity to learn about the particularities of the selection processes in consultancy service Strategic and Investment Banking, two highly competitive sectors.

Also participating in the training plan were Gonzalo Álvarez de Toledo, Business Analyst at McKinsey; Will Fawson and Lassi Viljakainen, Career Services at IESE; Gonzalo Arana, Associate at Oliver Wyman; and Luis Huete Investment Banking Analyst at J. P. Morgan.
