design management Building 12 students from the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra have been initiated during this academic year in the research and the teaching through the second edition of the Research Training Program (RTP), a bilingual program with 6 specialties: Fire Safety, Hospital Engineering, Timber Construction, Virtual Design, Water and Energy Building and Building Restoration.

The specialization program course in fire safety was taken by Javier Bermejo Busto, Eduardo Pérez Sarasibar and Koldo Urrutia Azcona; in hospital engineering by Patricia Arbesú Fernández and Paula Olaizola González; and in wood construction by Íñigo Basarrate González and Isabel Zabalza Yanguas. On the other hand, they have studied the specialization program of virtual design Ángel Fuertes Valles and Luis Tena Omarrementería; of management of water and energy in the Building, Asier Mateo Castillejo; and of rehabilitation of buildings, Nere Herrera Pujana and Itxaso Larrañaga de Beristain.

With the financial aid of a tutor staff , students have designed their work plan, which has included the partnership in research projects and in the teaching, as well as the elaboration of an abstract or a poster for a congress.

The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra is the only one in Spain that offers this program, which is developed in English andcomprises 100 hours of work of student plus others dedicated to training. It is supported by partnership of the Navarra Emergency Agency, association de Empresarios de la Madera de Navarra (ADEMAN), association Española de Climatización y Refrigeración (ATECYR), association Forestal de Navarra (Foresna), CEIT, Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER), Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Gobierno de Navarra and Viviendas de Navarra S.A. (Vinsa).
