University experts advise Tecnológico de Monterrey in the launching of a Master's Degree in landscape and urban management

The agreement signed between the School of Architecture and this Mexican center reinforces the partnership professor between the two campus

Professors of the department of Urbanism of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra will advise the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) in the campus of Puebla for the implementation of a Master's Degree in landscape and urban management , which will be structured mainly in practical workshops.

This is stated in the agreement signed by Mariano González Presencio, director of the School, and Rashid Abella, director of Campus Puebla of high school Tecnológico y de programs of study Superiores de Monterrey. This is part of a agreement framework between the University and the Latin American center.

Other authorities of the Mexican campus were also present at the signing ceremony: Sergio Martínez, President of the southern zone; Asunción Zárate, director of Professional; and Hermas Haaz, director of the School of Architecture, Arts and design. José María Ordeig Corsini, José Luque Valdivia, Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val, Joaquín Lorda Inarra and Inmaculada Jiménez attended on behalf of the School.

Teaching stays in Mexico and Pamplona.

The partnership, which is based on the experience of more than a decade of the School's specialization program in Landscape and Urban Planning, includes advice for the preparation of the curriculum of the Master's Degree, as well as its calendar, organization and selection of the academic staff. Likewise, the possibility of professors from the Pamplona academic center carrying out teaching stays in Mexico and vice versa is contemplated. On the other hand, students who complete the postgraduate program program will take a semester course at the University of Navarra.

"We intend that the programs of study have a high conceptual level, coupled with a great mastery of the management and the internship. We are committed to training landscape specialists in Mexico and management at the same time, since quotation is given in public administrations at all levels", explained José María Ordeig Corsini, director of department of Urban Planning, who will coordinate the consultancy from Pamplona. Professors José Luque Valdivia, Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val, Joaquín Lorda Inarra, Eduardo Rojo Fraile and César Martín Gómez will also participate.
