The 4th Biennial of Latin American Architecture will be exhibiting the works of the 12 teams that participated in the last edition held in Pamplona from June 18 to July 27. This is the first time that the event organized by the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra is temporarily based outside the Navarrese capital. The exhibition was inaugurated by Juan Van-Halen, director general of Architecture, Housing and Land of the Ministry of Public Works, and José Manuel Pozo, director of the Biennial.

The Biennial of Latin American Architecture is a channel to present in Spain recent and outstanding examples of the professional practice of young architects (under 40 years of age) from the other side of the ocean, generating a forum in which to strengthen ties, shorten distances and establish a firm and solid counterpoint to the Anglo-Saxon universe.

In its four editions, more than fifty teams from countries such as Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and Ecuador, among others, have participated, with Mexico being the guest country in this edition.

The exhibition consists of three different parts: the first, with the works selected for this edition; the second, with works by biennialists from 2009 to the present; and the last part, with a specific section dedicated to the guest country.

Also, on the 24th, a roundtable will take place at the Arquería with the presence of Luis Fernández Galiano, director of Arquitectura Viva, Juan Paulo Alarcón, from Surco Arquitectos, and José Manuel Pozo, director of the Biennial.

The Biennial of Latin American Architecture has its origin in the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and has sponsorship of the Ministry of Development, the City Council of Pamplona, the Commonwealth of the Region of Pamplona and the Delegation in Navarra of the high school Official Delegation of Architects Basque-Navarre.
