Architect Alejandro Puente 's Master's Degree began as a dream. He had just woken up when he learned that he had been the winner of the 5th Project Competition organized by FYM-HeildelbergCement and the School of Architecture.

He checked the mail to make sure he was not mistaken. Two months later he would travel to Spain; the award cons isted of a scholarship to study theMaster's Degree in design Architectural at the University of Navarra.

The jury had distinguished the quality, innovation, originality and creativity of its project, which consisted of a subway infrastructure in the viewpoint at the Balcón de Pilatos in the Sierra de Urbasa; a formula that did not break the landscape.

"I didn't want to implant a structure that was foreign to a place that Navarre is very fond of," explains the architect, who had often heard about its landscapes and traditions from his friend Mateo Granja, partner of his architecture office 'Productora espacial' and former student of the University.

"I liked that they valued my idea, just as I also like to contradict myself to surprise myself and get to know myself better," admits Alejandro Puente, who studied at the SEK International University in Ecuador.

Having started the Master's Degree course at design Architectural , the architect expressed his desire to design new works: "I want to end up having more curiosity than I already have". Because that curiosity, he pointed out, is what allows him to face new challenges and take advantage of every day, learning.
