For the last twenty years, the employment Forum has sought to connect the business world with university students at contact . To get a closer look at the expectations of the nearly 3,000 students who attended the quotation, we accompanied Cristina Escabias and Jordi Cassany, from the School of Economics and Business Sciences, during their tour of the stands of the 32 participating companies.

Cristina and Jordi arrived at 9 a.m. at entrance hall of Central Building with everything ready: several copies of curriculum, a list of the companies with which they would like to establish contact and a folder full of enthusiasm. On their route, planned days before from the website, they would visit Banco Santander, BBVA, Caja Rural, Accenture, PwC, Ernst&Young and KPMG, among others.

His main motivation is to ask companies about the profiles they are looking for and to find summer internships. " The Forum will give me new points of view to better focus my future, with internships and experience in the labor market," explains Jordi Cassany (2nd International Degree in Management).

The Degrees of the School of Economics are among the most demanded careers, but in addition to the degree program companies value the mastery of English and professional skills. As Cristina Escabias (3rd Bilingual Business Administration and Management) verified, work teamwork, initiative and proactivity are some of the skills that were emphasized. "Companies take very much into account the activities you have done during the summer, beyond the internship. For example, being a volunteer or a conference hostess. You show restlessness, a desire to do things and your Degree involvement," she says.

Both for them and for the organizers, the balance of this edition of the Forum is very positive. issue "Companies have expressed their surprise at the high number of attendees," says Ignacio Uría, director General Manager of Fundación business-Universidad de Navarra.

According to the latest study by employment rate, almost 83% of graduates from the University of Navarra in 2011 are working in positions related to their programs of study. In addition, the issue of internships in companies has grown by 8% over the previous year, especially in the international area .

When she thinks about the future, Cristina opts for the banking sector. An internship at IBM, where she collaborated on a project CRM for Banco Santander, was her first contact with the labor market and set her on the path to her goal.
Jordi delivered his curriculum by hand, but he was also advised to enter his data on line, as an applicant for next year's offers. In this way, companies will be able to observe the evolution of his profile during the last months.

The School of Economics has chosen her to participate in the selection processes of Caja Rural and Banco Santander. If the result is satisfactory, this summer she will be able to do an internship in one of the two entities.   From conversations with recruiters, Jordi highlights how they noticed the summer activities: "Even if they are not related to your professional field, they talk about you. Companies value very positively the fact that you have moved around.
