Winners of the school contest 'Draw Pamplona 2011'.

The 54 drawings made in the second phase will be exhibited at conference room Descalzos 72, from October 21 to November 20.

Felipe Fernández Rodríguez, Lucía Gallo Uriz, Martina García Ramos, Isabel Bastida Vidaurre, Estela Pellejero Álvarez and Ana Satrústegui Ollaquindía are the six winning students of the XI edition of the school contest 'Draw Pamplona', whose second and last phase was held on Saturday, October 8. That day, a total of 54 primary school students from 11 different schools participated in an outdoor drawing session, from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm, which this year was held at place de los Fueros and its surroundings.

The competition established two categories, one for 3rd and 4th grade students (category A) and the other for 5th and 6th grade students (category B). The first classified in each of the two categories will receive 450 euros in drawing material for each of them and 750 euros for the school they represent; the second, 300 euros for the authors and 450 euros for the school; and the third, 150 euros and 300 euros for the high school. In addition, all participants in the final will receive an accrediting diploma .

Draw Pamplona' is organized by the City Council of Pamplona with the partnership of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, which has advised students and schools in the realization and selection of the drawings. This contest aims to encourage artistic creation and knowledge of the city among students of Education Primary schools in Pamplona.

The jury in charge of selecting the winners was composed in this edition by Fermín Alonso, councilman delegate of Education and Culture of the City Council of Pamplona; Teresa Lasheras, director of area of Education and Culture; José Manuel Pozo, of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra; and Ángel Arbe, technician of Plastic Arts of the City Council of Pamplona.

The City Council has organized a exhibition with all the drawings made in the second phase, including the winning works. The conference room of exhibitions located in Descalzos street, 72 will host this sample from October 21 to November 20.

Last year, 70 students from 13 schools drew the Calle Mayor, the place de Recoletas and the place de la Inmaculada in the final of this competition. In previous years, the chosen scenarios were the inner grounds of the Citadel, the place of the Presidium, the place doctor Gortari, Yamaguchi Park, Enamorados Park, the place Félix Huarte, the place del Castillo or Mendillorri Park.
