The group of research Siglo de Oro of the University of Navarra and the Sociedad Estatal de Conmemoraciones Culturales (SECC), under the coordination of the Ministry of Culture, organize in Pamplona the international congress "El Arte nuevo de Lope y la preceptiva dramática del Siglo de Oro". The meeting is held on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the publication (in the 1609 edition of the "Rimas") of "Arte nuevo de hacer comedias en este tiempo", a treatise in which Lope de Vega offers the main keys to the success of his theatrical internship .

Experts such as Miguel Ángel Garrido, from the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales-CESIC; Maite Pascual, from the Escuela Navarra de Teatro; Frédéric Serralta, from the University of Toulouse-Le Mirail; José María Díez, from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid; or Javier Rubiera, from the University of Montreal, will participate in the congress, which will take place at the classroom Magna del Central Building of the University of Navarra on November 23rd and 24th.

Also, among the events planned for Monday, the 23rd, is a tribute to Kurt Spang, professor of literature at the University of Navarra, on his retirement after almost 40 years at teaching .
