Transdisciplinary projects between humanists and IT specialists have multiplied in fields such as History, Archaeology, Philology, Philosophy, or Art History. But is there really a fluid and effective dialogue between disciplines? How are projects where technology and Humanities work together managed? What are the communication problems between researchers, scientists and technicians involved in these transdisciplinary projects?

To these and other questions the workshop "Transdisciplinary projects in Humanities and informatics: improving the partnership between disciplines", organized by the laboratory of Humanities Digital of the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra, aims to answer these and other questions. The meeting, organized in partnership with the high school of Heritage Sciences of the CSIC, is supported by the International Society of Hispanic Digital Humanities . It will take place blended learning on October 29th, at Amigos Building of the University of Navarra and online.

"The division between Sciences and Letters continues to be evident in all academic fields. There are conceptual and language barriers in the interaction between professionals from humanistic and technological areas, which sometimes become complicated to manage in research projects developed by both disciplines," explains Leticia Tobalina, organizer of meeting and professor at the University of Navarra, the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour and Casa de Velázquez. "With this workshop, we want to show the advantages and disadvantages of this subject of inter and transdisciplinary projects, as well as detect the red lines and seek solutions to alleviate these handicaps," adds Juan José Pons, director of laboratory of Humanities Digital.

The meeting, free of charge, is aimed at professionals from area of the Humanities -historians, archaeologists, art historians, linguists, etc.-, as well as specialists in the field of technology -computer scientists, engineers, biologists, etc.-. Researchers, teachers and students from different disciplines can also register at attend . Those interested can register at the following link.
