Nearly 900 people participate in the II Open Day organized by the University
The University of Navarra Museum hosted the workshop where future students learned about the academic programs

More than 346 Navarrese students came to the Museum of the University of Navarra to attend to the second edition of the Open Day of the University of Navarra, recently organized by the Admissions Office . A workshop for students of high school diploma of the Foral Community can know the academic programs of the center as well as its facilities.
The students were welcomed by the president , María Iraburu , who thanked them for their interest in getting to know the University. She also conveyed to the attendees the desire of the founder, Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, to establish the University in Navarre in 1952 and added: “Since then, there are three things that have not changed in our country: campus : the passion for the work , contribute to training great professionals who change the world and that people are the most valuable thing we have.”
After the welcome, the attendees participated in a roundtable in which they were able to hear the testimonies of Eduardo García , student 4th year Architecture student, Carlota Álvarez , 3rd year International Relations and Law student, and Carmen Tabuenca , 5th year student of Chemistry and Biochemistry . Next to them sat Pablo Pérez , Full Professor of History and professor of the School of Philosophy and Letters, Esteban Morrás , former student and businessman, and Jesús Ayala and Irene Cantero , from the admissions team at the University of Navarra.
During the roundtable , the public learned about the students' experience and how the process of choosing their students was. programs of study . “I asked alumni from the University of Navarra and they all had very good memories of their time at this University. I came to a JPA, and I decided to do it,” explained Carmen Tabuenca. Similarly, the businessman Esteban Morrás emphasized how different it is to study at the University: “A graduate from the University of Navarra is a person you can trust: he has received a training excellent and has values that give you peace of mind," he said. For his part, Pablo Pérez encouraged the prospective students to make a degree program to innovate and change the world; “You have a talent that your parents have cultivated for years and that at the University you have to fully exploit to put it at the service of others.”
The Open Day was an opportunity for the Admissions Office to innovate in the methods of promotion of academic programs . "Until now, in the information sessions that we give as different professionals in the service, we limit ourselves to telling in first person the academic programs ", explains Jesús Ayala. "But we are at a time when future students and their families want to hear testimonies from close by, from the protagonists of the University themselves."
At the end of the session, attendees were able to visit the different Schools and Schools and learn about the specific offer of each Degree .
