Within a project-contest, Architecture students will present their proposals for a theoretical intergenerational center in the San Jorge neighborhood.

The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and the association Universal Accessibility (AAU) have signed a partnership agreement for call the project-contest "Intergenerational Center in Pamplona".

In this framework, the students of the subject Proyectos II will create in small teams their proposals for an intergenerational center in the neighborhood of San Jorge, which theoretically would be built on an endowment site. The building would be aimed at people of different condition and age, in order to favor social cohesion and social meeting .

For its part, AAU will facilitate the displacement of technicians in subject accessibility to address the doubts of students, while participating continuously in the monitoring of development of project.

The agreement was signed by José María Casado Aguilera, president of AAU; Mariano González Presencio, director of the School of Architecture; Elvira García-Planas Marcet, architect of AAU; and Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val, professor of Projects at the School.

In January, public presentation of the projects

On January 13, the public presentation of the projects will take place at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. Among them, the jury will award cash prizes to the two groups that best contemplate accessibility in their design and will also award two runner-up prizes.

The panel will be composed of Mariano González Presencio; José María Casado; José Ignacio Alfonso, director de Proyectos del Ayuntamiento de Pamplona; Maite Apezteguía, architect and representative of high school de Arquitectos Vasco-Navarro; and Luis Suárez, professor of the subject de Proyectos II.
