The 15 students of the XV promotion of Master's Degree in Architectural design (MDA) graduated last Friday, December 18, in a ceremony in which Professor Carlos Sambricio pronounced a lecture that took by degree scroll "The origin of modern architecture in Spain: 1919-1925 ".

The academic ceremony began with the intervention of the students' representative, Bruno Sirabo, who took the opportunity to speak of the benefits of Pamplona as a host city, and of School of Architecture, where, in his words, "there has been a joint growth during this time". Sirabo wanted to highlight of his own colleagues"the illusion and the desire with which we have faced each project, where learning has been a process, and the end is always arbitrary".

The director of the program, Professor José Manuel Pozo, also wanted to congratulate the graduates and thank them for the trust placed in the School to study the MDA and have the opportunity to get close to some of the figures core topic of the international architecture scene. In his speech, Professor Pozo had a special memory of sociology professor José Miguel Iribas, who passed away on April 20, 2015, and urged the students, "the last graduating class that had the opportunity to enjoy his teaching, to always keep in mind two maxims of which Professor Iribas was a clear example: knowing how to govern complexity, and aspiring to excellence, knowing that there is always room for improvement".

These 15 students, from Jordan, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Mexico and Spain, have witnessed during their stay as students of Master's Degree, events such as the IV Biennial of Latin American Architecture in Pamplona, the 50th anniversary of the School or the inauguration of the Museum of the University of Navarra.

After the diplomas were handed out at submission , the School's director , Miguel Angel Alonso del Val, spoke. He thanked those responsible for the program for their effort and dedication, and wanted to highlight the quality of the professors who make up the master's program, who "help to keep up with the students' standards and demands". And to the latter he wanted to recognize their effort, dedication and achievements, and their decision "to make a stop in their ordinary chores to study a Master's Degree and reconsider the ways of doing their jobs as architects".

The event ended with a lecture by architect Carlos Sambricio, professor at Master's Degree, which was titled "The origin of modern architecture in Spain: 1919-1925" at degree scroll .
