Excellence Program students visit Congelados de Navarra factory

On March 16, the students of the Excellence Program of the School of Economics and Business Administration visited the production plant of Congelados de Navarra in Fustiñana. and Business Administration visited the production plant of Congelados de Navarra in Fustiñana. The visit is part of the calendar of activities of the aforementioned program for the 2017-18 academic year.

The founder of Congelados de Navarra and Entrepreneur of the Year of Navarra 2017, Benito Jiménez Cambra, extended the invitation to the students of the School during a session with the entrepreneur that took place at the Amigos Building of the University of Navarra on March 6.

During the session, the students were able to learn first-hand about the history of business in Navarra, from its beginnings to the present day, including the major challenges faced, as well as the decisive construction of the Fustiñana plant in 2008.

Jiménez founded Congelados de Navarra in 1998, and business has become a European leader in frozen vegetable solutions. The project, a benchmark in the commercialization of pre-fried and roasted frozen vegetables, today has four industrial plants that provide employment to more than 800 people in the region.
