Javier Serrano makes a research stay at London School of Economics

The programs of study Communication courses offered by the British center are the second highest evaluation worldwide according to the QS World Ranking.

Javier Serrano, professor at School of Communication, has been in London since last August on a stay as visiting professor at the London School of Economics (LSE). There he will remain until December doing research at the department Media and Communications of the center in the project '"Not without my smartphone!": Emotions, identity and digital technology', an aspect that is becoming increasingly important in the area of communication.

The 'Department of average and Communications' at the LSE was established in 2003 with the goal to achieve a critical and contextualized understanding of the intricacies and dynamics of the digital world. Its research has contributed to the London School of Economics becoming the second most reputable center in the world for programs of study of Communication according to the 2014 QS World University Ranking, in which the University of Navarra's School of Communication has been ranked seventh in the world among those with less than 12,000 students.

The project in which Professor Serrano will participate is one of the mainstays of the Center for Internet Studies and Digital Life created during the last academic year by the School. It is also part of the project 'Emotional culture and identitybelonging to the Institute for Culture and Societyof which he is partner.
