In the 2016-2017 academic year, the University of Navarra will launch its new Master's Degree at research in Social Sciences (MICS). This postgraduate program is based on the more than fifty years of experience that the academic center has in the interdisciplinary training of researchers both in the field of social sciences and in other scientific fields.

The program, which is in the process of being verified by the National Agency for Assessment of Quality and Accreditation, is coordinated by the Institute for Culture and Society and has the direct partnership of Schools of Communication, Law, Education and Psychology, Nursing, and Philosophy and Letters.

Six itineraries of specialization

The MICS is offered as a gateway to entrance for students who wish to enter the interdisciplinary research in the social sciences. Its training program allows students to specialize in six tracks: Communication, Geography, Linguistics, Education, Law and Nursing.

The Study program consists of 60 credits ECTS credit, distributed in four modules: the theoretical-fundamental module (12 ECTS credit), the methodological-instrumental module (18 ECTS credit), the module of specialization program itineraries (12 ECTS credit) and the module of the work of end of Master's Degree (18 ECTS credit).

Students who complete the Master's Degree will be equipped with methodological tools and analytical skills that will enable them to carry out quantitative and qualitative programs of study of social and cultural reality, as well as to lead interdisciplinary work in a wide range of companies and public and private organizations.

Graduates will thus be qualified to start a doctoral program, or to work in interdisciplinary teams and in institutes or foundations that carry out social research and programs of study market research, and that require social and cultural analysts.
