107 students from School of Architecture of the University of Navarra completed internships during academic year 2011-2012. Of these, 37 were at programs of study in 13 foreign countries: Argentina, Chile, China, Denmark, Germany, Japan, USA, Malaysia, Norway, Panama, Qatar, Switzerland and France.

"It should be noted that the number has increased considerably with respect to 2010-2011, a year in which 70 people did internships, 60 in Spain and 10 in other nations," said María Goñi, manager Careers business-University of Navarra Foundation at the School.

"Students are increasingly aware of the importance of internships and the weight that experience carries in their curriculum. Many of them want to work outside Spain upon graduation and international internships open a door for them to programs of study architecture from around the world," he explained.

19 scholarship students
Most of the students who have had a work experience this year are from the fourth year (26%), fifth year (27%) and the project Fin de degree program (16%). Likewise, of the 70 who remained in Spain, 8 obtained one of the 21 CRUE CEPYME scholarships that Banco Santander grants to the University of Navarra. With respect to those who chose another country as a destination, 6 obtained a scholarship Global, granted by Caja Rural de Navarra, and 5 obtained a scholarship Erasmus.

Some of the students presented in a session their experience in summer internships to those who are considering this possibility this year. The presentations were divided into three blocks: in the first, students who have been to the USA, France and Norway spoke; in the second, those who chose Panama, Mexico and Chile as their destination; and in the third, those who went to Japan, Malaysia and China.
