During the last edition of Career Management Week, a week of training at career guidance and preparation for selection processes, five alumni from School who work in the Economics and Institutions sector shared their experiences in the labor market at roundtable attended by nearly 200 students.

The participants, coming from institutions such as the Bank of Spain, the Ministry of Finance, the high school of credit Official and the European Commission, agreed that these subject activities are very useful for the students. In this line, the former student and senior economist at the Bank of Spain, Fernando Sols, said: "Having a direct contact with the alumni who have studied the same as you is extremely useful".

In turn, Andrés advised students to take advantage of these occasions to enter contact with companies through the alumni.

On the other hand, Fernando Gil from the Ministry of Finance believes that it is important to show on the CV that the student has been an active person during the degree program and advised those present to "get into trouble" and to find "things that make you passionate and enrich you".

The participants of the roundtable encouraged the students to analyze their strengths and weaknesses to determine which skills they possess and which they can strengthen. In this, they all agreed that in order to work in this sector it is necessary to learn languages and do a Master's Degree to specialize.
