Isabel Grábalos, Raquel Cascales and Philip Muller, students of the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Navarra, launched in October 2008, a group on Facebook graduate "Philosophy Joven". The project was born under the supervision of Professor Jaime Nubiola, who urged the students to ask themselves if it was possible for the Philosophy to be present in a medium such as social networks.

"We created group with the idea of being able to continue the discussions that had been left open at class, and to open new ones with students from other courses at Philosophy or any other degree program, and with students from other universities around the world," explain its creators. "We want to show that Philosophy is not something reserved for a few. Our society needs young people who think about what is happening in the world in order to improve the future. For this reason, all the topics we have proposed have to do with everyday current affairs, such as relativism and tolerance, politics and the economic crisis, the Bologna plan and Education in general, or the power of the media and journalistic sensationalism."

Since its creation, up to 50 topics have been raised on discussion and more than 500 members from different countries and universities have joined group .
