The University of Navarra, through Tantakahas once again launched the Christmas Campaign to collect non-perishable food, clothes and toys. Until December 17, they can be deposited in the boxes set up in the buildings of Friends, Library Services of Humanities, Hexagon Building, Communication and sports center.

The main novelty of the campaign is the image used to publicize it. It consists of three drawings of three Cuban girls by Gonzalo Bañón, a 16-year-old boy with a disability who is also a Tantaka volunteer.

As she explains, she wanted to draw a sad person who has nothing except the trunk in her arms and the dress she is wearing, and two other girls who are happy because they are receiving gifts. "Smiling is important and very good," she says.

The food will go to the residency program of Hermanitas de los Pobres (Pamplona) and to needy families in Cuba, through the Church of La Milagrosa, in Havana, where Jesús María Lusarreta, a priest from Navarre, is the parish priest. From Cuba they have especially asked for canned food and food for children. Used clothes and toys in good condition will be distributed through Cáritas Parroquial.
