On August 28, 29 and 30, the University of Navarra will hold the XIV edition of the Course on Religious Studies. XIV edition of the Course of update of the high school Superior of Religious Sciences (ISCR), whose central topic is 'Current theological and pedagogical issues'.

The program, which will begin with a welcome from the ISCR's director , José Manuel Fidalgo, will be attended by a hundred people from 14 Spanish autonomous communities: Madrid, Andalusia, Catalonia, Basque Country, Navarra, Extremadura, Valencia, Castilla y León, Castilla La Mancha, Murcia, Aragón, Asturias, Cantabria and Galicia. The profile of the attendees is very varied, such as teachers, administrative staff, self-employed, pharmacists, researchers, civil servants, businessmen, lawyers, veterinarians, priests, engineers, retired people and housewives.

Cristina López del Burgo, professor at the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra, will be in charge of opening the sessions with a discussion paper on 'Adolescents and the Internet'. Professor Inés Olza, researcher at Institute for Culture and Society (ICS), will give the next talk, which will deal with 'Ordering experience through language: narratives, emotions and identity'. position The last session of the morning will be given by Jordi Puig, professor of the School of Sciences with the discussion paper 'An environmentalist meets Laudato si'.

In the afternoon, simultaneous sessions on Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Moral Theology and Pedagogy of Faith will be offered. 

The Vice President of academic staff, María Iraburu, will close the course.

The sessions on Tuesday, August 29, will begin with Juan Fernando Sellés, professor at School of Philosophy y Letras, and Francisco Moya, radiologist, who will speak in two sessions on 'Anthropology of the person. The meaning of life'.

At 12.15 noon, Ruben Herce, professor of the School of Ecclesiastics of Philosophy andmember of group 'Science, Reason and Faith', will offer a session on 'The origin of man in the light of science'. In the afternoon, as in the previous workshop , simultaneous sessions on Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Moral Theology and Pedagogy of Faith will be given.

José María Barrio, professor at School of Education of the Complutense University of Madrid, will give the first lecture on Wednesday morning, August 30, under the title degree scroll 'The Christian educator in the face of the cultural challenge'. Then, Javier Otaduy, professor of the School of Canon Law, will address 'The apostolic exhortation Amoris laetitia of Pope Francis'. Finally, at 12:15 noon the course will be brought to a close by María Iraburu, Vice President of academic staff, with a session focused on 'Science, faith and transhumanism'.
