Cristina García-Vivar, new Vice-Dean of the School Nursing Department

He replaces José López Guzmán who had been with position since 2011.

The President of the University of Navarra, Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, has appointed Cristina García-Vivar as Vice-Dean of research of the School Nursing. She replaces José López Guzmán at position , who since 2011, had been performing this task.

Cristina García-Vivar is full professor at School of Nursing. She studied Nursing at the University of Navarra (2000) and completed the Master's Degree at Nursing Science (2002) and the doctorate in Nursing at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (2007). Since 2006 she has been deputy director of the department of Community and Maternal and Child Nursing of the School of Nursing and in 2012 she was appointed manager academic of International Office of the same School.

She teaches teaching at Degree and postgraduate program, and her research focuses on the care of families with chronic conditions, as well as health promotion in the different stages of life. She has recently been appointed member of the board board of the International Family Nursing Association. She is also, since 2009, advisor of research of the high school Oficial de Enfermería de Navarra.

José López Guzmán, Senior Associate Professor of Humanities Pharmaceutics of the School of Pharmacy, hands over the baton to continue his work professor and research at the University. During his years at the head of the Vice-Deanship at the School of Nursing, he has promoted the training of postgraduate program with the Masters in Nursing in Palliative Care and in Advancedinternship and management of Nursing. The President wanted to express its gratitude to Professor López Guzmán for his years of dedication to the work of management and governance of the School of Nursing.
