Cristina García-Vivar, new director of the association International Family Nursing Association

The University of Navarra professor is the first Spaniard to join its board board of directors.

Cristina García-Vivar, professor of the School of Nursingof the University of Navarra, has been appointed director of the association InternationalFamily Nursing Association ( IFNA). She joins the board board of directors as the first Spanish woman to accede to this position position.       

Passionate about family nursing, Professor Garcia-Vivar is honored to take on this responsibility: "I am determined to continue to support the IFNA in promoting the importance of Family Nursing internship , Education and research throughout the world". Among her objectives, she intends to contribute to making association "more visible, especially in Europe, where specialization program is less well known".

First Spaniard on the board of IFNA

García-Vivar, professor at department of Community and Maternal-Child Nursing at the University of Navarra, was elected by vote of IFNA members. The association has 216 members from 24 countries and is dedicated to Family Nursing with the goal transforming the health of families by being the global reference for this specialty; exchanging knowledge, practices and skills to enhance and nurture the internship of family nursing; and, providing leadership in family nursing through scholarship, Education and exchange collegiality in all aspects of family nursing.
