The University holds a series on sports architecture and competition

Experts will analyze infrastructures such as the Reyno de Navarra Arena, the Miguel Induráin velodrome, the Los Arcos circuit or the Nuevo San Mamés

The University of Navarra celebrates from next Thursday, the 29th, the I Cycle Architecture, Sport and Societyon "Sports architecture and competition". The event is organized by the Olympic programs of study Center and the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra with the partnership of the high school Official Basque-Navarre Architects (COAVN).

The course will consist of four sessions open to the public in which the three most important sports infrastructures of the region will be analyzed: the Reyno de Navarra Arena stadium, the Miguel Induráin velodrome and the Los Arcos circuit, as well as the new San Mamés stadium in the Basque Country.

The first session, which will take place this Thursday at 7 p.m. in the COAVN Auditorium, will focus on the Reyno de Navarra Arena and will feature the following speakers: Carmelo Fernández Militino, architect manager of project; Rafa Araujo, professor of technical school of Architecture of the University of Navarra; Rubén Beloki, professional exelotari; Javier Lacunza, General Manager of NICDO, Navarra de Infraestructuras de Cultura, Deporte y Ocio; and Javier Saralegui, director of sports of Onda Cero.
