The Chair Madera celebrates an activity in Señorío de Bértiz
Aimed at architecture students and construction professionals, it includes two guided tours, project presentations and an awards ceremony submission .
On Saturday, April 28, will be held in the Señorío de Bértiz the closing of the first edition of the subject 'Construction in wood', organized by the Chair Madera of the University of Navarra and the Government of Navarra. This activity is aimed at students and professionals related to wood construction.
First, the director of the Señorío de Bértiz natural park and member of the Chair Madera, Fermín Olabe, will welcome the participants. Then, there will be a guided visit to the Nature Interpretation Center and another one to the forest, where concepts of management forest will be explained in the framework of the subject "Construction with Wood".
Analysis of Spanish and foreign buildings
The students of the subject will present the work carried out during the course, in which they have analyzed examples of wooden buildings in Spain (Sabri Restaurant, in Echauri; Bodegas framework Real; Ulzama Golf Club, Donamaria Tower, Legarda Service Station, and teaching Catalunya Infant and Primary School) and abroad (technical school Switzerland Wood Engineering, Expo Hannover 2000 roofing, Zug lakeside bathing facilities, Protos Winery, German Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo and Traversina Steg Bridge No. 1 and No. 2).
Finally, a jury made up of members of the Chair Madera will award prizes to the best works in each category and certificates of participation will be presented at subject.
