The Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Government of Spain has awarded the Prizes for the Best Published Books during 2019. The work "Versos e imágenes. Gozos en Navarra y en una colección de Cascante", edited by the Publications Service of the University of Navarra, in partnership with the Fuentes Dutor Foundation and the association Vicus, has received the first award, in the category of Bibliophile Books, highlighting "its magnificent reproduction of the engravings and its binding in burlap".

José Félix Villanueva, director of the academic center's Publications Service , pointed out that this award "is a recognition of our work at partnership with the authors of the University of Navarra, to facilitate the publication of quality works. It also fills us with satisfaction that the awarded book sample an aspect of the cultural and spiritual richness of Navarra and other regions of Spain". In addition to highlighting "the author's A work ", Villanueva emphasized "the excellent design and layout by Jesús Irisarri, of business Pretexto, and the magnificent printing by Gráficas Castuera".

Ricardo Fernández Gracia, director of the Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the School of Philosophy and Letters and author of the work, has joined in this recognition: "The award is, first and foremost, for those people and institutions that believed in project: Mercedes Alonso, from Publications Service of the University; Miguel Ángel Franco, Agustín Guibert and Santiago Goñi, from board of trustees of the Fuentes Dutor Foundation, who financed it; and Vicus Cascante, association who collaborated with his enthusiasm in the edition; without forgetting the work of a designer/layout designer and a printer of exquisite taste, professionalism and experience: Jesús Irisarri, from Pretexto and Carlos Castuera, respectively". He also pointed out that a recognition such as this "is a stimulus to continue working with more strength and enthusiasm, researching and disseminating everything related to heritage, even if it is with printed matter that has disappeared from our environment. For this reason, we had to recover them, study them and reproduce them with an extraordinary edition, which has its digital version".

Last year, the winner of the Bibliophilia category was Miquel Barceló, for his work "Aurea Dicta". In this edition, the jury of the Best Edited Books Awards has evaluated a total of 152 works, in the different thematic groups -Art, Bibliophilia, Fascimiles, Children's and Young People's, General and knowledge dissemination-. Chaired by Mª José Gálvez, general director of Books and Reading Promotion; and as vice-president by Begoña Cerro, deputy general director of Book, Reading and Spanish Literature Promotion, the jury was formed by: Antonio Manuel Rodríguez Vela, for the Library Services Nacional de España; Javier García del Olmo, for the Club de Gráficos Eméritos; Juan Carlos Lozano Brizzolis, for the Federación de Industrias Gráficas; Rosalina Díaz Valcárcel, for the Federación de Gremios de Editores de España; Alberto Urdiales, illustrator and professor of plastic arts; and Teresa Goizueta, for the Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte.
