Croatian architect Hrvoje Njiric, visiting professor in the School of Architecture

The students of Master's Degree in design Architectural traveled to Croatia, where they are working on a project in Split, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Last Friday, February 24, the Croatian architect Hrvoje Njiric, visiting professor of the Master's Degree in design Arquitectónico de la School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, gave a lecture lecture entitled: "Recent Work".

During his speech, the Croatian architect showed a selection of projects of his work, such as the McDonalds Drive-In Restaurant in Maribor, the Rural Mat housing complex and the Medo Brundo kindergarten, among other highlights.

Njiric defined today's Croatian architecture primarily as ephemeral architecture, "the traditional ones do not allow for permanent Structures ," he said.

Njiric + arhitekti was founded by Hrvoje Njiric in 2001 and is based in Zagreb, Croatia. Hrvoje Njiric has been active at teaching since the mid-1990s. He was Visiting Professor in Austria, Slovenia, Italy and is currently Senior Associate Professor at School of Architecture at the University of Split.

A project in Split (Croatia)

Hrvoje Njiric has proposed to the students of his workshop at Master's Degree in design Architectural (MDA), a project on temporary housing and public use programs in the Diocletian Palace in the city of Split (Croatia), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

For their development, the students recently traveled to this city, where they visited with the Croatian architect the heart of the city, characterized by intense residential, commercial and tourist activity.
