School of Architecture Purificación González, Ana Sánchez-Ostiz and Enrique Maya received the Silver Medal of the University of Navarra for their 25 years of professional dedication at campus. A total of 72 people were honored.

Purificación González is director of department at Building; Ana Sánchez-Ostiz, director of Master's Degree at design and management Environmental Buildings; and Enrique Maya, mayor of Pamplona and professor at department at Building.

The celebration, which began with the reading of a brief biographical sketch of each of the honorees, was presided over by President, Ángel J. Gómez-Montoro, who thanked them with these words: "You can, with good reason, feel a legitimate pride in hearing of the University's achievements: in a very direct way, they are due to you".

After submission, Professor Ana Sánchez-Ostiz spoke on behalf of the award winners. "With everyone," she said, "I am united by a sincere gratitude to this house, which has been for us a place of growth as people and as professionals.

Showing off her work as a professor of Architectural Constructions, she declared, referring to the University, that "for some, putting one brick behind the other can only mean erecting barriers that distance, marginalize and hide. Others, on the other hand, are capable of doing great things with them: like turning space into a habitable place, where people can be brought together and valued for who they are, and involved in a common project where everyone wins".

Finally, he referred to the Museum of the University of Navarra, which is already under construction: "It will have its hidden bricks, which will give way to the works of art. In the same way, I hope that in this University, each one, with work, effort and understanding, will make of his life a masterpiece".
