The Mendillorri depot hosted the submission awards ceremony for the "Public transport and urban design of the city" competition, organized by the Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona and aimed at students of the second cycle of the University of Navarra. School of Architecture of the University of Navarra.

The competition, which aimed to reflect on urban space from the perspective of the mobility and quality public transport, awarded the proposals that best integrated a new mode of transport in the urban design .

For this, the organization proposed five routes, which are part of those proposed by the Land Management Plan (POT) of area 3, corresponding to the Central Urban area of Navarra. The students had to choose one of them, propose a new mode of public transport (streetcar or metro-bus), establish the occupation in plan of the reserved platform, the shared space if it was chosen, the integration of the networks and their crossings, the design of the new sections of public space and, in final, the new image of the city that the change implies.

The jury, chaired by Javier Torrens, president of the Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona, valued each proposal both for the argumentation (through diagrams, analysis, distribution of modes in plan and section, images...) and for the architectural quality of the work.

For each of the five routes a first award of 300€, two accesit of 150€ and two mentions with diploma were established. The winners have been the following:
