Students at the University of Navarra promote the "Science open to others" series

The first edition will consist of three talks with scientists and popularizers Ignacio López-Goñi, Javier Novo, José Luis Vizmanos, and María Blasco, director of the CNIO.

A group of students -most of them from Degrees of Sciences- from the University of Navarra have promoted the first cycle of knowledge dissemination "A science open to others", which will count with the participation of scientists and popularizers Ignacio López-Goñi, Javier Novo, José Luis Vizmanos, and María Blasco; the latter, director of the CNIO.

The conferences, open to the general public and with free entrance until fill in capacity, will take place at auditorium of high school Mayor Belagua, at campus, where the students who have organized the series reside.

The first of the talks will be given at position by Ignacio López-Goñi, award ASEBIO 2017 of knowledge dissemination scientific -Monday, February 5 at 19 45 h.- with a lecture about scientific and curious issues.

The second session, on February 26, will be a colloquium between two professors of Genetics and professors of the University: Francisco Javier Novo and José Luis Vizmanos, about the secrets of CRISPR-Cas technology, which promises to be a revolution in the treatment of diseases such as cancer.

Finally, on March 1, the cycle will close with María Blasco, director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO), who will speak at lecture about science in the face of aging challenge .
