Third graders seek privacy for Workshop 3
They are competing in a contest consisting of the design of a screen that will serve as a display and provide privacy in the classroom
"Designing a screen to be used in the workshop as a piece of furniture capable of generating privacy between the areas of work and its use as a display of plans, presentations, etc.". This is the premise on which the 3rd year Architecture students of the School have been working during the first week of the course.
From Monday 1 to Friday 5, the inhabitants of Workshop 3 are working on the design of a screen of free material, size and construction system in which various criteria such as beauty, recycled materials, flexibility or lightness, among others, will be valued.
For the validity of the different projects, the students will have to present sketches, drawings or models of work sufficient to be understood by the members of the jury in a competition where there will only be one winner, in addition to the runner-up prizes that the jury may wish to award. The most outstanding proposal will be used as the basis for developing, together with the team that presents it, the prototype that will later be used to build the final screen for Workshop 3, which will be used during the course.
The deadline for submission submissions is Thursday 4 at 7 p.m. while the award to the winners will be delivered this Friday 5 at 6.30 p.m. For those who have worked hard and have not obtained the award of the contest, the Workshop 3 will host the inauguration party immediately after.
