An urban beach in the citadel, a ski slope in Carlos III or a mega mushroom plantation are some of the ideas that Fernando Alonso, from Zamora; Yago Fernández, from Vigo; Mario Galiana, from Logroño, and Javier Sáenz, from Lodosa, graduates and researchers from the University of Navarra, presented last December 23rd in Pamplona at an event organized by the University of Navarra. School of Architecture of the University of Navarra presented last December 23 in Pamplona at a meeting organized by the association Ideas for. Under the degree scroll of Minimal Utopias the students of doctorate presented some initiatives that the Diario de Navarra described as "one of the most innovative and radical ideas of the workshop".

"Our project is called Minimal Utopias and it has to do with those days when Pamplona is empty. People go to the beach in summer, or to the mountains in autumn, to ski in winter.... What we propose is an architectural utopia: to take actions and spaces that occur outside the city and bring them here," the students explain. "The idea is to enable a priori impossible offers from ephemeral architecture projects," they say. These young architects, aged between 24 and 30, already have a structure designed to create the urban beach and more seasonal ideas. "For example, if people go mushroom picking in autumn, we would bring them to Pamplona and make a mega-plantation in the Citadel," they explain. "And in winter, a ski slope a little more than a meter wide that runs along the Avenida de Carlos III. We like to think of the idea of a huge happening for Pamplona 365 days a year," they conclude.

The second edition of Ideas for Pamplona brought together ten young people eager to share their experiences, showcase their talent and contribute innovative ideas for Pamplona under the slogan "Together we add up".

Ideas that become reality

One of the objectives of Ideas for is to suggest ideas that the administrations can materialize. goal that in the first edition of Ideas for Pamplona was fulfilled with the implementation of the initiative proposal by the graduate of the School of Architecture, Arantxa Satrustegui (ETSAUN'12): the Bizikalea.

Ideas for Pamplona seeks to make young professionals feel identified again with their city of origin. "It's about showing the strong identity and commitment we feel with our roots." The alumni of the University of Navarra Pablo Jaurrieta, architect, Leyre Ancín, of ADE and Izaskun Huarte, of advertising and RRPP are the members of the territorial delegation in Navarra of Ideas for, a national association that "regroups talent" in various Spanish cities.
