A total of 409 students from high school diploma and 4th ESO, from 21 schools in Spain, took part in the closing ceremony of the Excellence Programme, held at the University of Navarra.

During the workshop, and before a panel of judges made up of professors from the academic centre, around one hundred papers from researchwere defended, dealing with subjects such as transhumanism, gambling, respect for authority, and the Spanish black legend.

After the presentation of the projects, the closing ceremony took place and the submission of diplomas to the students of the 2nd year of the programme. high school diploma students who have completed the programme this year. At the event, chaired by Rosalía Baena, dean of the School of Philosophy and Letters, a video commemorating the 10th anniversary of the programme was shown. Alma Orueta Torrego, from high school Orvalle (Madrid), also spoke on behalf of the participants.

The organisation also awarded a commemorativediploma to the Munabe and Ayalde schools in Vizcaya, and to Iñaki Iraola, teacher at high school Sansueña-Montearagón (Zaragoza) and one of the coordinators of Excellence, for his participation in the programme since its inception in 2010.
