117 new students from 18 different nationalities join the School of Architecture

40% of 1st year students are international

Last Monday, September 4, the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra welcomed 117 new students to Degree, of which 40% are international students of 18 nationalities. The 69 students joining Degree at programs of study come from Ecuador, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, USA, El Salvador, Ghana, Belgium, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela. At the national level, the students come from Navarra, Vizcaya, Álava, Guipúzcoa, Málaga, Barcelona, La Rioja, Madrid, Pontevedra, Valencia, Burgos, La Coruña, Huesca and Seville.

At Degree at design international students come from Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Canada, Italy, Bolivia, Ireland and Nicaragua. And in Spain they come from Navarra, Guipúzcoa, Madrid, Málaga, Asturias, Zaragoza, La Rioja, Huesca, Ourense, Toledo, Alicante and Burgos.

"A new course full of exciting projects".

The third year Architecture students started the course with an academic stay in Vienna, from September 1 to 7, where they received the necessary knowledge to carry out the different projects that will take place throughout the course. Similarly, the 2nd year Architecture students moved the teaching to Rome from September 2 to 8. On the other hand, the 4th year students had a visit to Madrid to get to know the site where the first project of the course will be developed.

In addition, the 2nd year students of Degree in design received last Friday Jaime Narvaez, visiting professor of the School of Fine Arts of Cuenca, who presented the first project of the course "Paper". We were also visited by the architects Maite Apezteguía, Toni Gironès and Eduardo de Miguel who presented to the students of Projects III the exercises they will work on this term. The students of 1st of design will debut this week with the Italian teacher Marta Bernstein, with whom they will work the project "Typography".
