Juan Álvarez, Meritxell Izquierdo, Juan Sola and Leire Gómez, 1st year Architecture students at the University of Navarra, and Professor Fernando Molina have participated in the Mextrópoli Architecture and City Festival

His intervention in this festival, organized by Plataforma Arquine in Mexico City, consisted of the construction of a structure in the shape of an eggshell. The idea came from the sculpture presented at congress FORUN 2018, the fruit of the research of Professor Fernando Molina and whose topic was "Rethinking the Future". In this edition, "we add one more incentive and one more challenge : erecting a monument and proposing a goal", explains professor.

By its shape, "the egg constitutes the container of the life that will come to be, pure potentiality," he adds. In his design the work of the students, both in the construction of the idea and in its presentation, was combined with the work of the teacher, who was able to put on internship his research with Structures articulated.

In this edition, the team aims to achieve two goals: The first would be to erect a monument to the ability of human beings to unite to achieve a common goal . This goal is linked to the social event that erected as the image with the most likes of the moment on instagram to an egg (@world_record_egg), a record that was achieved in a very short time thanks to a great international support. The second purpose would be to raise the question of whether we are capable of coming together to help others.

The participation is supported by the School of Architecture University of Navarra and Tantaka Arquitectura; with the sponsorship of Cluster Habic, Maderas Portu and CC Itaroa, and with the partnership of Luminosos Arga and Navarfest.

In addition to the four students and professor Fernando Molina, the following students participated in the project : Andrea Arilla, Álvaro Landete, Ana Garralda, Mark Arbizu, Andrea Giammeti, Ane Marina, José Rodríguez-Losada Torres, Ane Inclán, Anne Ortega, Mikel García-Abad, Irene Biera, Álvaro López, Óscar López, Jimena López, Ricardo Herrero, Fernán Valdivieso, Elena Aparicio, Jorge San Miguel, Juan Urdaneta, Alex Zamora.
