University students awarded for their designs to revitalize Ermitagaña and Santo Domingo markets

The winners of this service-learning project were Saioa Erviti, Miriam García, Nora Villar, Carlota Fanjul, Isabel Oroz and Celia Pérez de Zabalza.

The students of the 3rd year of design -accredited specialization in design of Services- of the University of Navarra have received the awards for their proposals for the revitalization of the Santo Domingo and Ermitagaña markets.

The winners were the students Saioa Erviti, Miriam García and Nora Villar at the Santo Domingo Market, whose proposal focused on gastronomy and recycling. Meanwhile, students Carlota Fanjul, Isabel Oroz and Celia Pérez de Zabalza have won the first award in the Ermitagaña Market with a project focused on children.

The prizes, whose submission took place at the School of Architecture The prizes, which took place in the academic center, consisted of a check to each of the winners to be used in the municipal markets of Pamplona.

The final presentation was attended by Elena Ustarroz and Susana Frommknecht, managers of the Ermitagaña and Santo Domingo markets respectively. Also present was Silvia Azpilicueta, head of the trade section of the Pamplona City Council, who highlighted "the transversal capacity of the projects to the municipal markets of Pamplona".

Degree On behalf of the University of Navarra, AitorAcilu, manager of the accredited specialization of design and coordinator of this project, and Adrián Larripa, professor of the School of Architecture, participated in the submission , who were very proud of the results of this project of service-learning applied to real life.
