The Internationalcongress "El auto sacramental: from Lope to Calderón" was recently held in Corella (Navarra). The meeting, which took place at the Hospedería Nuestra Señora del Villar, was organized by the project "Autos sacramentales de Lope de Vega. Edition, study and historical-literary context" (FFI2013-45388-P) of GRISO-University of Navarra, funded by the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain, and also counted with the partnership of the City Council of Corella. The directors of congress were Dr. J. Enrique Duarte and Dr. Juan Manuel Escudero (GRISO-University of Navarra).

The program of the meeting included a total of fourteen lectures, with researchers from various universities in Spain, France and Mexico. The academic sessions were completed with an official reception for the congress participants at the Town Hall, where they were received by the Mayor of Corella, Mr. Gorka García Izal, together with the Councilor President of the Culture Commission, Ms. Sandra Cornago Garbayo, and other members of the corporation. There was also a guided visit to the Arrese Museum and the Historical Complex of the City of Corella, plus another cultural extension activity, the seminar "Models of life in Renaissance and Baroque Navarre", co-organized by GRISO-University of Navarra and the City Council of Corella, which was held at the Cultural Center of Corella, open to the public of the town.
