Last Friday took place the Alumni Christmas Concert of gospel music at position of the Chamber Choir of Navarra (Jazzy Leap & Jazzy Leap Band) for the benefit of project solidarity with which collaborates a group of students in Tanzania. Each entrance was used to finance 15 days of schooling for a child in Tanzania, in total, 15 children have been able to attend school for a whole year. Thanks to the more than 500 people who attended the event, €5,500 was raised.

The event featured a performance by the Jazzy Leap & Jazzy Leap Band, from the Chamber Choir of Navarra, who set the mood for the evening with a repertoire of Spiritual & Gospel A cappella, Christmas Carols and Gospel fused with other styles. Under the baton of Andoni Arcilla, director of the band, the attendees enjoyed songs such as Oh happy day, Silent night, No Tears in Heaven, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Joyful, Joyful, among others.

The children to whom the financial aid will be destined attend the Blue Sky School, located in Nambala, a small town 22 km from the city of Arusha, in Tanzania. The high school, founded in January 2015 by the Tahude Foundation, already has all the infant and primary grades. University students come every summer as volunteers to high school, playing a very important role in its rapid growth: painting the classrooms and dormitories with cheerful motifs, building a playground with swings, managing on the ground and financing with crowdfunding campaigns the installation of running water, a kitchen and ten latrines, among others.
