Five graduates in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra have obtained one of the 340 places that the Ministry of Health has offered this year in the Internal Resident Pharmacist exam (spanish pharmacy residency program ). In addition, two of them are among the first 100 places. They are Kevin Sainz, a native of Rincón de Soto, with issue 31, and Francisco de Borja Tellez, from Getxo, in 78th place. They are followed by Ángela Díaz (Pamplona, 135), Leire María Górriz (Zizur Mayor, 176) and Marta Marina González (León, 228). A total of 1,559 candidates took the exam in this edition.

"The truth is that at first I didn't really know where to orient myself, but I did the supervised internships at the University Hospital of Navarra and I liked them so much that I saw that it was what I wanted to do," confesses Kevin Sainz, who is currently studying the 4th year of Degree at Chemistry at the University. As for specialization program, therefore, he is clear: "I believe that hospital pharmacy is the most exclusive specialization program of the pharmacist and I think that it best reflects his work on a day-to-day basis".

For his part, Francisco de Borja assures that he took the spanish pharmacy residency program exam to broaden his career opportunities: "In the end, I will have the opportunity to spend four more years training and opening up other horizons in which I can work afterwards". "At first, after spending the last few months preparing for the exam, the specialization program that most appeals to me is clinical analysis, although I will take advantage of these weeks to visit hospitals and participate in training sessions to make a definitive decision".
