result Maite Rodríguez González, a native of Málaga and a student of the 1st year of Degree in Architecture at the University of Navarra, has won the Architecture&Wine contest, organized by the School of Architecture of the academic center and the CVNE Winery.

In total, more than one hundred students submitted their designs to the wine label contest. The wine company challenged the students to create a label reflecting the link between this century-old winery and art and architecture.

"Origen. Fluidez y resistencia", the design of Maite Rodríguez, will thus become the image of the special edition of a wine of the winery and Maite Rodríguez will receive a scholarship of 1500 euros at the enrollment of the academic year 2017/18 at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. "'Origin' is the best word to define the meaning of my label, it represents in four fragments the wine production process, its origin", explains Maite.

The final phase of the Arquitectura&Vino competition consisted of a popular vote, through the web, in which the winning label obtained 2073 votes. The other four finalist labels were "Vida eterna" (1693 votes); "Rossonero" (1097 votes); "Esencia" (634 votes) and "CUNExión" (740 votes).

teaching by projects: Vertical Workshop

The exercise is part of the subjects Analysis of Forms, 1st year, and Elements of Composition, 2nd year of Degree in Architecture. It is a Vertical Workshop, in which students from both courses work. "It has been a great opportunity for all of us. It is a good way to learn from each other, since even though we are working on the same topic, everyone has a different idea, a different point of view. I would like to thank all my classmates and teachers, as their advice and support have been fundamental for the final achievement", comments Maite Rodriguez.
