The School of Economics of the University of Navarra has organized Hands on Business, aimed at students admitted to start their programs of study in the 2013-2014 academic year. The students had the opportunity to learn first-hand and experience the IESE Program during a workshop , a training of excellence that the School has developed with the Business School of the University of Navarra at its campus in Madrid.

The workshop included an afternoon visit to the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, where students were able to see firsthand one of the most impactful models of corporate management strategy in recent years: that of Real Madrid. The white club has built a global brand, with audiences on five continents, and is one of the best-known sports institutions in the world.

In addition to visiting the sports facilities, the students received a session on strategy at Real Madrid. The speaker was Julio González Tojo, director of Operations and Infrastructure at the club and former student of IESE.

It was also an opportunity to meet those who will be their classmates next year, professors from School, graduates with professional experience and also current students, who shared their experience with them.

The IESE program is an educational experience aimed at students in the final years of the Degrees of the School program in economics. Students receive six months of classes at IESE in Madrid, making the University of Navarra the only academic institution to offer this subject program from training to its students at Degree.

The Hands on Business event was held for the third time this year. In the previous two years, the students visited the facilities of the Swedish multinational Ikea, which has achieved a meteoric international expansion with its strategy of offering furniture from design at a reasonable cost.
