Learning and contact with professional reality

14 students from School of Education and Psychology took a summer course in Chile.

14 students from Degree in Psychology from the University of Navarra took part in a summer course last summer summer course at the Universidad de los Andes in Chile for 6 weeks in July and August.

During the first week of the course, the students received theoretical sessions at campus of the Chilean university. In addition, the students were able to put in internship the theoretical knowledge learned through exercises with simulated patients, and with the continuous support of academic staff of the Universidad de los Andes.

Subsequently, the students had the opportunity to carry out internships in the so-called "outreach centers", places designed to provide medical and psychological care and school support to people at risk of exclusion.

This course, eminently practical, has as goal that the students know other approaches to Psychology; and it is framed in the commitment of the School of Education and Psychology for the international outreach of the students, and the approach of the professional world through the Practicum.
