Three University architects install a structure in Tudela to raise awareness against gender-based violence
It is part of the activities organized by the City Council on the occasion of 25N.
On November 25, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the City Council of Tudela has organized an interactive activity, devised by three researchers of the School of ArchitectureElena Aparicio, María Fernández-Vigil and Fernando Molina.
The initiative, called "Dale la Vuelta" (Turn it around), aims to raise awareness in a positive sense against this problem, and to transform the concepts of sexist Education -insecurity in spaces, mistreatment, lack of co-responsible conciliation, invisibilization, inequality in employment and lack of respect- into concepts such as co-education, security in spaces, good attention, co-responsible conciliation, visibility, equality in employment and respect.
The transformation of the concepts will take place inside a giant icosahedron built by the architects of the University of Navarra. On each face of the solid, different collectives will draw images that evoke these ideas, with the positive ones being visible and the negative ones on the inner faces.
The activity will involve schools such as IES Benjamín de Tudela, IES Valle del Ebro, high school la Anunciata, high school San Francisco Javier C.I.P ETI Tudela; as well as ANFAS, AMIMET, Red Cross, committee Municipal for Equality, association ROMIS, Centro Padre Lasa, Centro de Rehabilitación Psicosocial and Elkarkide.
"Navarra says no" is the slogan of the joint campaign between the Regional Government and the Federation of Municipalities and Councils on the occasion of the 25N. The city council of Tudela joins the campaign with the slogan "Tudela says no", however with this conceptual twist and in a positive sense, Tudela also says yes.
The activity "Dale la vuelta" is part of a series of actions organized by the City Council of Tudela, which for five days aims to raise awareness about this topic.
