Thirty Spanish physicists meet at the School of Sciences
The network Physics of Out-of-Equilibrium Systems is funded by the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness.
group goal A group of thirty Spanish physicists -from the universities of Seville, Carlos III of Madrid, Barcelona, Extremadura, Complutense de Madrid, Almeria and the committee Superior de Investigaciones Científicas-, as well as some international physicists, have met at the School of Sciences of the University of Navarra with the aim of linking and creating synergies between the different groups of the network of Physics of Out-of-Equilibrium Systems.
This meeting, organized by the School of Sciences and the department of Physics and Applied Mathematics of campus Navarra, has been supported by the Ministry of Economics and Competitiveness, in charge of funding the network. According to the coordinator of meeting, Professor Diego Maza, an added goal of this meeting "is promote the contact between research applied groups working on potential practical developments, which range from quantum communication to bacterial flow control. Considering that most industrial physical processes are out of equilibrium, our field of action is very broad", emphasizes researcher.
This meeting took place from November 23 to 25 at the auditorium of the Science Library.
