The 'Lupita' team wins the 'Manager Caja Rural 2012'.
The awards were presented on April 26 at the Confederación de Empresarios de Navarra (CEN).
On Thursday, April 26th, the awards of the XIX edition of the Manager Game of Caja Rural de Navarra were presented at the headquarters of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Navarra. The team 'Lupita', from the University of Navarra, won the first prize award; the second and third award were awarded to the team 'Nuevo Consorcio Wrestler', from the Public University of Navarra, and the team 'IMG', also from the University of Navarra.
Gorka Arce Alonso, Ion Mikel Pardo Pérez and Javier Pérez Castro are the students of Engineering of the University of Navarra who won the first award of 'Manager Game', endowed with 3,000 euros for the strategies of their team 'Lupita'.
19 years of 'Manager Game'
'Manager Game' is a game based on an online platform that simulates skill between companies in a real market. Players must decide their business strategy based on estimates of the behavior of the market, made up of the rest of the teams.
Caja Rural de Navarra has been organizing this activity for 19 years and the University of Navarra, through the area of Entrepreneurs of the Foundation business-University of Navarra, and the Public University of Navarra, collaborate in the development of the game.
Present at the submission awards ceremony were José Antonio Sarría Terrón, president of the CEN; Lourdes Goicoechea, Regional Minister of development Rural, Industry, employment and Environment of the Government of Navarra; José Luis de Cea, director of development of the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Navarra; Mr. Carlos Blanque, of of the of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Navarra; Mr. Carlos Blanque, of Marketing of the University of Navarra; Mr. Carlos Blanque, of Marketing of the University of Navarra. Carlos Blanque, director of Marketing of Diario de Noticias; Pablo Arocena, Dean of the School of Economic and Business Sciences of the Public University of Navarra; Iñaki Asensio, manager of the game; and Daniel Montoya, manager of the line of entrepreneurs of Caja Rural de Navarra.
The event included the lecture entitled "Opportunities for entrepreneurship in the ICT sector", given by Óscar Matellanes, founder of Quomai.
