The new startups are looking for four essential ingredients in the profile of their employees: "the will to make your professional life count; the ability to work and withstand pressure; the ability to solve problems on your own and be pleasant and cheerful". With these keys, the president of the consulting firm BeRepublic and co-founder of Glovo and Wallapop, Gerard Olivé, opened the activity of the Marketing and Sales Club of the School of Economics of this academic year.

Olivé shared with the students how he has launched online business applications such as Glovo and Wallapop. Both startups, which today have an annual turnover of more than 80 million, arose from the idea of offering users a simple and easy-to-use tool where interested parties could interact quickly. "The success of these applications is due to the fact that they are platforms with real-time chats, convenient at the time of purchase and for which you only need a mobile device," said the entrepreneur.

During the session, Olivé unveiled the steps to create startups in a digital environment and encouraged the students to be fearless entrepreneurs.
