Professors from Master's Degree at research Biomedical coordinate the first clinical essay to treat brain tumor.

The study will be conducted at Clínica Universidad de Navarra with 29 patients with glioblastoma.

Several professors fromMaster's Degree at research Biomedical of the University of Navarra will participate in the world's first clinicalessay to treat the most aggressive brain tumor by immunotherapy before and after surgery. The study, which will take place at the Clínica Universidad de NavarraThe study, which will take place at the University of Navarra, will involve 29 patients with glioblastoma, in whom the safety and efficacy of the monoclonal antibody nivolumab will be tested.

The main researcher of the study, Dr. Ignacio Melero -manager of the subject Viral and Tumor Immunology at Master's Degree in research Biomedical - highlighted that this study "is novel in the use of these treatments around the surgical intervention in a brain tumor of extraordinary malignancy, such as glioblastoma multiforme".
